Le Corbusier’s Ronchamp Reimagined by Xavier Delory

In a series called Pilgrimage to Modernity, Belgian photographer Xavier Delory digitally re-imagines Le Corbusier’s seminal chapel as a blank canvas that exhibits the work of the architect himself.

The seemingly random act of vandalism is in fact a version of a series of murals painted by Le Corbusier for furniture designer, Eileen Gray’s villa E-1027. Delory’s digital intervention was meant as a reminder that all Modernist buildings were designed to be flexible and adaptable.
